Super Sprint and Sprint Bike 13.7 miles
The Bike course for the sprint is an out-and-back on Veazie Cumberland Road to the intersection at Retreat-Kanaskat Road.
At mile 9.8, athletes will turn right on SE 352nd St. in Cumberland, continue onto 309th Ave SE to a turnaround and return to Veazie Cumberland road where you'll turn right again and head back to the park
Please note that the total elevation gain on the bike course is pretty low - the profile is a little misleading in that the scale only shows 100 feet of elevation total. Total elevation gain is only 521 feet.
Olympic Bike Course
Athletes familiar with the Black Diamond Half Iron Bike Course will recognize this as identical to the northern course from the last few years.
You'll travel north out of the park along Veazie-Cumberland and travel some beautiful rural roads. Volunteers will guide you at every turn, so don't worry through those longer straight stretches. One aid station is at the power plant at the 15.3 mile mark.
There will be an out-and-back at mile 20+ that heads toward Green River Gorge before you return to Nolte for the run.
