POST RACE FESTIVITIES AND FOOD
Please check back closer to race day when we'll have a better idea of what we can pull off! We hope to provide a full meal and an awards celebration - fingers crossed!
RACE DIVISIONS Open Categories Athletes will compete in 5-year age groups. 20-24, 25-29, etc. The top 3 overall male and female finishers will be removed from the age-group results and receive overall awards Clydesdale & Athena Divisions Clydesdale and Athena divisions are available in the long course triathlon for men weighing at least 220 pounds, and women weighing at least 165 pounds. There will not be a scale on site - this is on the honor system! If you've entered the open division and want to switch to Clydesdale or Athena (or vice versa) you can do that anytime up to and including race day. Just let us know.
Top 3 overall men and women will receive pint glasses and awards
Top 5 in each 5-year age group will receive a pint glass
We're unsure about an Awards ceremony at this time. Please check back later to see the plan there.
Volunteers Raise the Bar's Black Diamond Triathlon has an incredible resource of volunteers who support the athletes leading up to on race day. There are many athletes, family members, and community members that come out to help and we're grateful! They're easy to identify by their bright green shirt. If you or someone in your support crew would like to join them, please click here. We work hard to make sure each volunteer is placed in a position they enjoy and works with their schedule and particular abilities. Are you a gifted heckler? The Strong, Silent, menacing type? Love being around food? We've got a spot for everyone. And we will feed you a meal too! To sign up to volunteer (or sneakily sign up someone else) CLICK HERE.
Spectators At this time, we're asking athletes to limit the number of spectators you bring to the park to the bare essentials. When it gets closer to race day and we know what outdoor social distancing is going to look like, we'll provide more guidance. Thanks for your understanding
